Tom Berry Jr. wins at Buena Vista Raceway

Des Moines, Iowa’s Tom Berry Jr. dominated the IMCA Modified portion of the Battle at the Beaver Dirt Crown at Buena Vista Raceway (Alta, Iowa) on Wednesday evening, ultimately putting his Brodehl Trucking No. 11x machine in Victory Lane.

Berry won his heat race from the pole and led the 12–car field to the green flag in the $2,000-to-win A-Main. He went on to take the victory on the 3/8-mile oval over Jesse Rogotzke, Nick Meyer, Doug Smith and Chris Abelson. It was Berry’s sixth feature win of 2023.

Berry had also planned to compete in the IMCA Modified division at 141 Speedway (Maribel, Wisconsin) on Saturday in advance of next week’s Clash at the Creek XV, but the event fell to rain.
