Berry on top in Modified at Independence Motor Speedway

Tom Berry Jr. made a surprise start in the Super Late Model ranks over the weekend as he hopped behind the wheel of the iconic No. 77 Late Model on Thursday for the Malvern Bank East Series event at Dubuque Speedway (Dubuque, Iowa.).

In his first night out in the Late Model ranks in 2024, Berry outran Andrew Kosiski in his heat race to secure the eight-lap victory. Starting on the sixth row for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Tom climbed three positions in the 30-lap affair to register an eighth-place finish.

Aboard his Lethal Chassis No. 11x Modified on Friday Marshalltown Speedway (Marshalltown, Iowa), Tom followed up a third-place heat result with a 12th-to-5th showing in the feature.

Berry's extended race-weekend concluded with a trip to victory lane on Monday at Independence Motor Speedway (Independence, Iowa). The flag-to-flag victory in the 20-lap feature marked Tom's ninth win of the 2024 season. He took the checkers ahead of Ethan Braaksma, Jeff Aikey, Tim Ward, and Owen Barnhill.
